Lance Royer has spent his career serving and strengthening Shawnee County.

Over more than three decades in public safety and community leadership,

Lance has built a reputation as a steady, collaborative leader and a practical problem solver. From serving as a Captain in the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office to leading the Shawnee County Emergency Communications Center for 10 years, his work has focused on protecting communities and improving the everyday systems people depend on.

Lance’s commitment to service extends well beyond public safety.

He has taken on leadership roles in a range of community organizations, including Kansas APCO, Leadership Greater Topeka, the Capital Area Major Case Squad, local nonprofits, and his church, Grace Episcopal Cathedral.

A graduate of Washburn University with a degree in Criminal Justice, Lance also owns RW Unlimited, Inc., and Associate Broker/Realtor with Stone and Story Real Estate Group, bringing together experience in both public service and small business.

Now, Lance is running for Shawnee County Commissioner to continue that lifelong commitment to service and help move the community forward for the next generation.
